Head of School, Xceed DME Academy
A native of Italy, Dr. Anna Gonzalez believes that student-athletes shouldn’t have to choose between pursuing their passion for sports and the education fundamentals that set them up for success in life. As Head of School for the Xceed DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Dr. Gonzalez brings that philosophy every day to campus where she oversees the academic paths for 60 student-athletes and 40 gap year students from more than 25 countries.
An educator with close to 20 years of experience, Dr. Gonzalez has taught middle and high school, as well as college students, in both traditional and online classroom settings. She has dedicated herself to making Xceed DME Academy students feel at home, no matter where in the world they are from, by organizing a wealth of extracurricular activities including field trips, beach outings and cultural cooking sessions. Dr. Gonzalez’s goal is to educate the whole child while preparing them for college and beyond.
Dr. Gonzalez earned a Bachelor degree, Master degree and a Ph.D. in Economics and Business from La Sapienza in Rome Italy.
